Wow, Comifuro XX is a banger event as always, it's fun to join one as a circle.

I met many friends in the comic market, and met a new ones as well. Comic Frontier, as every artist alley has been, is an event for illustrators and designers to just chat and connect. Maybe it's not me, but there must be some people thinking that they would make millions in comic market, and then they see what stuff their neighbour sells, and decided to buy cool things from them using their revenue money LMAO. This is a funny situation, but this just happened to me.

At 9.00 a.m. on the first day of the con, we were just finished setting up the circle table, there are only circles in the market area that time. I only put Fresh 'n Fits one book on the spot, because it's a reprint and the leftover OTS before already been booked by someone via online for mail order, put in a sticker of LAST STOCK on display. Then, a circle artist, just two tables to the left from us, came to us excitingly and this is roughly how the conversation goes.

👩(Cirlce artist): Hi, can I buy this magazine? Is this the last stock?
👦(Me): Yes, this is the last stock.
👩: Is it okay if I buy this?
👦: Sure!
👩: OMG, you don't know how happy I am to see a Splat zine.
👦: Thank you! I am also happy people are interested in Splatoon. Oh yeah I'm also interested in your merch as well ...

And that was the fastest soldout I've experienced. I mean it's not impossible, since there was only one stock left by the start of comic market and exhibitor's transaction openly — and also secretly — started before the visitors come. But I had never seen that fast purchase before the comic market starts. Turns out, after some chatting we found that we played in a casual squad session in Salmon Run Server and they said that they met me several times in freelance (solo queue). Knowing that they're from neighbour country, I just realized that's a given, since I'm always matched with neighbouring country players in Salmon Run. But to be a coincidence for us to meet in a comic market is simply a magical encounter.

My circle friend, also later found out that they was boothing with a famous artist, and they are also a famous artist themselves, and I was stunned. It is funny how like I made this magazine as a passion project with my friends, and somehow this magazine has already three customers from Malaysia. It was a mere thought of:

So yeah, glad the readers liked it! It was an effort to put the illustrations and writings into dynamic slick layout we made. This zine would not be finished without everyone's effort. I always want to put in some story inside the works I've done so articles would be the best form of story in this case. I think there is no sign of vol. 2 right now, but for now Fresh 'n Fits will do merch to fill the gap until there is an apparent sign of 2nd volume.

I want to review the books and comics tho, but I haven't read them all. Maybe I'll make a post about it for sure. The comics are really good holy. Also, I'm sorry if there are so many GL-coded books in it. Check my "Current Anime & Manga" at the last item for my preference (only on desktop version).

I also bring 3DS this CFXX just for funsies. I've played some games on it, and tried the internet browser, I haven't tried the StreetPass and camera. However, CFXX is the perfect test to try this old console to the fullest. So, I took pictures with it with my friends. I know the resolution isn't high, because this is a camera from 2011 but the funky pixelated photos in this age may give some nostalgia. And I found someone with StreetPass too, it was a customer I met when they're going to try a short lanyard for their 3DS, so it's a funny experience for me at least LMAO.

The moment they tried it on 3DS, I immediately mentioned that I also have 3DS and asked them if they want to try StreetPass.

Oh yeah, it's been lots of fun and I think since I have free time after CF, I would do more website thing, since it's always good to learn web development. I would update the site more next month I guess yeah LMAO. Got more pages to do, brother.

Shower thoughts: I was having a shower tonight, and it was damn refreshing. Then I thought, "Wow, how did the humanity found shower?". Did prehistoric human found a waterfall in the wild, and then trying to stand under the waterfall then they feel something so groundbreaking? Though, early civilization replicated waterfall-like shower in Egypt and Mesopotamia, so that's a thing I guess. Enough about that lmao, that was a mere thought.

Yeah, so I finished some of the packing process for CFXX. Not much stuff this CF, since my role in this CF is just helping people making stuff. I do make new merch, but that's not really much, since I don't have much time anyways LMAO. But damn even for (highly) niche fandom, I still love meeting the people. This project is certainly a passion project, we really just want to make it without looking too much into the selling value.

But yeah, I'm still glad people enjoyed it. I think aside from Splatoon fandom, there are also people who wants to purchase the magazine just to look at the layout design, and I feel like holy wow, I feel so humbled and thank you for enjoying our works so far. It was definitely impossible without the help of crazy cool illustrators, writers, and graphic designers.

I wish I could record the progress of this project somewhere online, cause the process is something that I should look into, if I'm gonna make a similar one. It is also a goood habit to document creative process too. It helps me to remember what I was doing, and tracking what I should do in the same situation. Maybe I could make a shrine page just based on this project, but I think that's for later.

I've also found that I keep investing in some weird ideas that seems like nobody would be interested in a comic market that the majority target audience is weebs with the default fandom of Hoyoverse games, and other gacha games. Don't get twisted, I do enjoy these games in the past but I haven't had done any projects or merch with these games. I guess the variety of Comic Frontier interests are broadening right now, and it's for the good of the mankind.

I've seen many merch with fish and tigers even, that's crazy — My mutual said that he found a House MD merch, which is crazy.

Yeah, I think that's it for now, maybe I'm underestimating myself too much recently. But, I'll find a way later on. Baby steps.

Oh my, April has been a busy month huh? At least, I survived it, with some mental casualties LMAO. I've been in some anxiety — social, loneliness, and panic anxiety. But I'm fine right now, I guess LMAO.

I guess I should list all of the things I've done until now, so it should be a reminder for the future myself to not take too much load based on these. I'll insert the link in the list.

• A full catalog of Fresh 'n Fits consists of 8 pages responsive to 1:1 and 4:5 aspect ratio
  (cause god I hate social media and its rules)
• A full layout of funky mathematics books called Mettamatika explained like the audience is five year old.
  It's been the 2nd volume right now with 104 pages, talking about statistics.
• A 'lil cover touchup for a Path of Nowhere anthology book commission called "For All That You Are" . (I honestly still it can be much much better, but I guess I should stick with it nonetheless)
• A lil Salmon Run merch I made, it's a phone strap of a golden egg.
• Social media posts for a yuri webtoon called "Everyday By Day"
• There are loads left but I can totally chew them this week.

Except the PtN anthology (which available worldwide), they are all available in Indonesia only. So if you're reading this from this terrible country, go check it out, brother. Tho I already know only my friends in Facebook read this blog LMAO.

Yeah, it's been a crazy busy month. I don't know what to express, I haven't opened any commission publicly yet and people are already asking me? (at least only some people) I know I should be happy right now. Of course it needs some adjustments, hence I need to better myself from now on. Tho, my design definitely needs many improvements. Baby steps, each of the time.

But yeah, about the mental casualties LMAO. So, I've been in a spiral loop of anxiety recently — managing expectations and social anxiety with clients and people. But, I think I get how to resolve it for now; thank you, Northernlion. So when a person wasn't busy, they usually find something to worry, whether if it is important or not. To check if it is worth to worry, simply click the R-button on your mind — go to your 3rd perspective on your brain, then analyze if that is something you need to worry. You will find maybe most of the things are like "eh, it's not something to worry about". That is how you not worry about things.

Yeah anyway, I will be working again on the designs this week, it should be much more relaxed than the last 4 weeks, trust me it was hell for me. Also I have a 'lil announcement to say here.

So three days after my birthday, I was invited to a little feast with my family at Haidilao. This is actually the first time I came to the family restaurant, I had all you can eat for a couple of times before but I think this is a different experience. I've heard from my friends and online opinions, that they have a certain kind of service. For me, the experience there is mesmerizing.

So, I was hurrying to Haidilao to meet my family, and it was one of the crowdest since the demography target is near the location. When I arrived, it was very loud — the loudest family restaurant I've visited in this city. The staffs were bringing bunch of foods, there was a VIP room which a whole family goes in. Also, turns out a lot of people were having their birthday as well. I've heard like eight times the staff were singing happy birthday and they have different song for each of them. I've heard like 4 variations of them and it's crazy banger unironically.

Technically, I was also on the birthday occasion, so like the staff was asking me if I wanted to have the same treatment. As an introvert person who prefers tranquility, I said "Would you please prepare me free food and that's it? That would be lovely," while I'm begging them not to do the ritual. Then, they served a mango pudding with a cute handwritten 'Happy Birthday' on the plate which is cute and lovely, with a candle as well holy. The kids were shouting and was like "nooo, you should do the thinggg 😡" and I was like "please brother 😂, I'm in a public place and I'm not into the awkward situation of five people who I don't know congratulate me for my old age.

One of the craziest birthday thing I saw in Haidilao, and note this was my first time coming here, so it's a culture shock for me.
Two staff with a costume almost like a clown, entered a VIP room with a tray of portable boombox — it's a legit sound system, man. I can imagine how rowdy it was inside. Maybe, now I kinda need the birthday song ritual thing LMAO.

Even so, I think the service and food there is very great. The soup there was great, it was tom yum soup, since my family can't eat spicy things anymore like they were young. I do want to try the mala one, but the friends I asked said collagen soup were the best. Ah, if only I were rich to try each of them, man LMAO. Also, the seafood is so fresh and good, definitely must try. The condiments were also banger, personally I like how they give us free fruits to clean our palate. The staff is also very friendly as well, holy. I've never seen such a kind server in this era man. Totally the best family restaurant service out there.

Oh yeah, speaking of watermelon. I watched Kowloon Generic Romance just recently, and HOLY — it's cinema. The whole vibe is crazy good, and I read the manga until the latest scanlated chapter and it was really cool! It got some twists which I can't definitely read or watch the same way anymore. However, the cool thing is the title explains itself! HOLY, I want to discuss it with full excitement, but I think it's a big spoiler territory so I shouldn't delve into it. All I can say is go watch and read it! It's definitely a fresh one and appeals to your nostalgia.

Oh wow, I'm in Club 27 huh? Crazy.

Okay so, I don't think too much for this birthday since late 20s age is like you just walk your life day by day without any special meaning. But maybe I'll just wish that I have a content year. Tho I feel like that's too generic, but it works eh? Maybe I wish I could be productive this year — since every time I work on something, my brain would work and not worry about dumb things, so there's that.

Also, I've been trying some funny food experiment in office. I won't say the details but turns out what Northernlion said is true! Damn that bald streamer. smh smh Okay, so I know I'm old already cause when I play Rhythm Heaven Megagmix on my 3DS, I have very slow response and no sense of rhythm anymore LMAO. That's crazy tho, I thought my rhythm sense wouldn't be too bad for this late age, but what??? I've been missing some notes that should be easy to get? It's true tho, haven't touched maimai since like a year ago, but that doesn't excuse me to be bad at rhythm games now!

This post will be a bit short, just a little short ramblings I did recently.

The load from the stuff I should do in the anime con turns out to be a lot more than expected. LMAOO. I picked such a gamble, but it's good for experience and time management right? (for a person who actually have a horrible time management). But at least I think it's manageable, I think I just gotta improvise and time blocking some stuff that I need to do.

This anime con is a different challenge though. So last anime con, I was trying to carry the job to finally finishing a passion project. Right now, I think I don't have any foreseeable book project for the upcoming one, but I do have something in mind — which I would have to do that after this one. So yeah, I guess I'll work myself out for completing the deadlines for this month. This week is going to be rough and busy tho — but the faster the problem is solved, the better.

Also, maybe I will post personal updates here instead of the real Fesnuk. Because, lately I feel I don't have the need the post anything in it except for sharing memes. Yeah, the memes are lively there and you can't compare fesnuk memes to twitter shits. The difference of the absurdity and complexity of the jokes is astronomically high. And you know which one wins.

But like for real tho, I feel that I can't post anything personal anymore at there. It's great tho to update to my friends what I am doing right now, but right now... I think I have to refrain a bit. Here, I know the risk is totally higher LMAO I'm posting this on public brother, everyone can read this shit. But we'll see 'kay? I'm not so sure because lately I feel worthless since I hate myself pretty much, and I hate myself for being incompetent and I can't get to people's expectations. I mean like it's chill, people make mistakes everytime. But I feel I shouldn't made the mistakes tho. Those are something I could totally prevent. And yet, I didn't have the courage to do it. smh.

Also I feel like maybe I shouldn't tried to bear the load, but since I already agreed to those terms, so I gotta take the responsibility. So yeah, it is what it is man. I feel like I'm not confident in my skills as per now, but I will try to learn and create things faster by myself. It's crazy to see what human brain can do tho.

It's okay tho, I can cope a bit with web development. Since, I'm just developing website for myself, so I'm cool.
Oh, speaking about website, so I tried to make a music player as a little project of my own. I mean it's not complete yet, there are still features that aren't functioning yet. Learnt Javascript a bit from that tho, and now I feel that those app developer who makes music player in the Winamp era is so cool that they make music player such a cool interface to play with. Oh here's the interface for the image and a video me just furiously testing buttons!

Aight, I think that's the second to last thing I want to yap about.

Okay so, the last thing I want to tell about is. Okay, so the train in my area is going to be changed to China trains. Before, it's JR 205 series. It's an old Japan train series used in 2000s then used as a commuter train here. I like both the old and new design, but I think the old ones have nostalgic value. Fallacy: Appeal to nostalgia. So the JR 205 series is pretty cool in my opinion, even people in Japan are shocked that this 10+ year old trains still working here carrying millions of people working. It is still a busy train after all. And, one of the thing that I would really miss from this train is the seat cover. So here's one of the seat cover.

I don't know if I'm autistic or not, but these seat covers are banger LMAO. Sorry I'm a train nerd. I'm going to collect more of these, cause like it's almost a month into the train change so I gotta take the memories, man.

Oh wow it's almost my birthday huh? damn who cares, im old already. life just goes on every day

Holy, it's been at least a month since I touched HTML and CSS? That's crazy tho. I don't expect it to be improved this good by this short of time. Also it's extremely long holidays of the year now in my place, so I have the time to code all the day, for the good or bad I guess lmao.

Oh so last week, I visited my family for Cheng Beng occasion. Every year as a Chinese, I don't go home during Chinese New Year but when it's Cheng Beng. It's an event of visiting the graves of the deceased family. It's in somewhere criminal, so I don't particularly enjoy the life there, but the food is soooooo good, HOLY. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner was bangers. Even the halal food was cooked so well??? Here is the yearly visit of the usual duck vermicelli with Badak soda (they call it Ak Bihun here). It's a total banger.

This is a hidden gem for me, and it should stay that way.

Talking about social media, it's been very grim recent days LMAO I can only laugh and try to find a coping place anywhere. The moment I open Facebook these past two weeks, it's a pile of bad takes and bad news recently, not only politics but also people's life as well. I guess 2025 has been a year eh? (It's still March). But to be fair, web design has been pretty fun place to run from reality!

For the website, I think I already finished two pages. The photography page can be accessed here or just click any buttons with 'Photos' in this page. It's a pain to sort the photos I've done since 2018 but the first batch is always painful, it will be easier later on. Oh also, I think I put a vanilla JS in the page to just put in the 90+ photos in it. It will take some loading but I think it's better than putting 92 <img> in the HTML source code honestly. And also this page yeah! There is features I want to work on, but now, this can totally do for a clean personal blog!

I'll work for the homepage, graphic design, and misc pages later, but this is a very cool exploration of web design I guess. I want to build more shrines pages! Me looking at my deadlines for anime con here NOOOOOOO, 2 books to layout and own magazine merch to produce. It fine, it will be done by itself.

This week has been another weird turn LMAO. I'm back to Photoshop babyyy.

So, I jokingly asked my friend if I could make a logo for them. I mean we are friend in Fesnuk and we were working in the same company back then. Then after some conversation, I decided to take the challenge for real. I have not make any grunge logo myself, though I've seen many photoshop tutorial on how to make grunge effects in Photoshop. But holy, it is a long and fun process. My workflow for logo is basically typography and styling roughly. Which all of these are a totally new for me to make a logo in a grunge manner. (I'm almost crazy, but I'm fine) I will break it down fully when it's finished LMAO. Many iterations, but that is how design process works. My aim is not the pay at this point, I just want to see how it will come out. I am highly excited, indeed.

For website, there hasn't been any progress except I made some prototype of how the mainpage would be. It will be done, when it's done. On a tangent, I read some post about how neocities and the similar platform encourages people to create the indie web, but there are many websites that looks almost the same in terms of layout - it lacks the creativity it should have. I can understand that people want fast layout so they would just take any of the available. But man, they said that people just copy stuff in it without changing the background image and stuff. Ah, the pursue for instant result huh.

To be fair tho, I am fine if people want to copy my layout, heck just look even at the source code man, it's free. Maybe I will be hurt if someone just copy paste the whole thing, but at least reference it or something tho. I should make a resources page tho, cause I will take many references in it, including the Win7 layout (they make it so well, and they share it for free). Ah also, I have a 'lil brief melancholy inside me tho. It's about the lil' nonsense ramblings about fashion aesthetics in general.

So fashion of each era usually depicts the generational behaviour, sometimes I feel like maybe those Y2K looks so fun to us, we just want to go back. Maybe it's just better that time.

But, jirai kei which is a recently famous subculture of 2020s also depicts the problem of society. Born in the wrong life situation, family issue, and economic situation. They cope with depression in cute fashion, to hide the depressive behaviour within.

I suddenly think maybe gyaru culture in the 2000s was also born with the similar situation. The lost decade in Japan, economic recession. That situation just pushed people to be creative with fashion to cope with the problems back then. Maybe people were covering themselves with flashy shirts and pants to forget the problems for a while, and to have fun. Almost similar to what is happening right now. Or maybe they just wanna have fun with Eurobeat and stuff, lmao shits maybe too deeply interpreted 😂

And yeah, I believe some of us want to go back because the problem we're facing right now and we need to cope in some way. We can find some beauty in humanity in that I guess.

This month has been a weird turn for me. The one app I used most often changed from Photoshop to Visual Studio Code in a week. For the disclaimer, I have not coded a single HTML or CSS code before in my entire life. So it's definitely a difficulty jump. Tho, W3Schools has been a total help for my web development journey. It's a baby step day by day, I learned how to add things into the website, including centering a div (you know it).

The whole website is still in the development process. I have constantly been coding after work these past few days. Generating assets for the website, opening Photoshop just to make simple ones like start button, or a logo. Please wait until the 1.0 version is finished. The website still looks like this, so please bear with me LMAO. The pixelized Lumina's house from Harvest Moon DS background stays in this page until morale improves.

To be fair tho, after this website is finished, I kinda want to make more altars, man. There is just something different with documenting stuff on the website. Blogging feels fun when you're not limited by character count. (Thank you fesnuk for still keeping this feature) Oh, also you can see the testing page I've made here. It's not final yet since I am still generating image assets, tho I already can feel what palette and aesthetics I'm going for. I guess y'all can already tell, tho.

Oh also, Fresh 'n Fits will have a quick announcement! Fresh 'n Fits is a passion project my Splat friends and I were making, and it's peak. I like to read magazines, and it's crazy that Splatoon fashion magazine is a neat idea. So there you go. I'll make a documentation for this project sometime later since this is one of my most memorable moments. So I would not forget it and can read it years later.

Overall, life feels better since I can work something for the while. It's probably to late to start things at late 20s, but you know it's better late than never.

I think this is the first time I made a post on Neocities. I want to create this website as a diary to my skill development and just for shits and giggles. For now, I kinda aim to make myself better in graphic design and web development. In fact, I already made some progress in my graphic design journey, made some zine and stuff you know. I'll make a shop reference here somewhere LMAO.

I think the biggest motive behind this website is I just want to express myself again in a free way to express myself. I get that social media is here anyway but I feel that it's very exhausting to watch stuff, especially when the nation situation is pretty stinky right now. So, it's very refreshing to have my own space of creation. Social media lately has been pretty boring, the news and the drama just making stuff a bit stressful lately. I don't like my mind being fed by algorithm. It's weird eh, how social media used to be fun, but now it's mostly bad experience especially on this digital age with useless automation, especially X Twitter.

So anyways, today I made a study about graphic design about Y2K. Pretty crazy eh, I think like it's so fun to experiment stuff when I'm free. I've been driven crazy for a few days by this damn video. It hits me kinda deep.

Then I think I gotta do something man, my mind just itches and I just want to make one of these. I think I've experienced 2000 technology and media in a little amount before. I think I'm not a Walkman Andy, but Nintendo DS and Windows XP was the absolute banger during my childhood. My father collected some cassetes, CDs, and DVDs tho, but I'm pretty much missed out a lot. The phones were so diverse back then, every product has its gimmicks, and it was a good era for technology advancement. The phones was made for customer experience, and still has some personality and innovation.

And as I grew up, paying taxes and bills, I want to recreate these feelings. Chromecore, and stuff. Okay, so here's the thing I made just recently with Photoshop. I made it with Chromecore in mind. Tried to add some Y2K feel by adding noise to the base photo since digital photos back then has lots of noise.

It was also a chance to tried the shit out of all the filter in Photoshop LMAO. Damn I can understand why many people still prefer Photoshop to Canva. The filter gallery is a total banger feature, especially if you want to make a graphic art. I think I'm just going to experiment for now, I don't want to be burdened by personal projects to hurry over the art markets. Like, I have a lot of stuff in my mind, and I really want to make it into a creative project. But I think my creative skill right now won't cut out for it, so I just want to take it chill and study things on my own. Also I still have some layout jobs to finish LMAO.

Damn, it feels refreshing to write things here, maybe it's because I'm just new to HTML right now, but I love making things with an extra steps like this. I'll update more when I'm up for it or everytime I finish some design study. It's a fun exploration tho! See y'all next time!
